The next Huawei P40 Pro could boot dual Android 10 and HarmonyOS
The Chinese telecommunications giant, Huawei, already has its own internal operating system called “HarmonyOS” (known as HongMeng in China). While the company launched a smart TV called “Honor Vision” that runs the internal operating system, Huawei has confirmed that it is not yet ready to use the internal operating system on its smartphones.
To that end, even the founder and CEO of Huawei, Ren Zhengfei, had recently stated that “Huawei HarmonyOS will compete with Apple’s IOS in 2 years.” In other words, it means that the company requires another 2 years to become a possible iOS competitor.
However, a recent video uploaded by the YouTube channel TechZG suggests that Huawei’s next P40 series (P40 and P40 Pro) that will be released in March 2020 could probably be the first smartphone in the world to run two operating systems, the Android 10 from Google (without Google applications) and HarmonyOS, side by side.
